I am Lucia Bona, originally from South Sudan. I studied nursing for five years. Then after successfully becoming a nurse, I moved to the United States in '95. Because of language barriers, I started out as a CNA in 1998. After a year, I changed my interest to become a hairdresser. I successfully established, owned, and operated a business, both as a hairdresser and as a hair shop owner, for 18 years. In 2014, I sold my business and fell in love with caring for the elders I met in the healthcare agency, Heavenly Care. I worked with this agency for 8 years; during that time, I also became a full-time minister, helping people in need, especially those who were dealing with brokenness. I've discovered that many people need help! I have such a passion and compassion in my heart to help those who are in need! I am now a full-time pastor for my non-profit International Broken Heart Ministry and also Restoration Ministries. It was here that lead my heart into a deep love for the elderly and for taking care of them. I work so closely with those emotions: feelings of breakdown, anger, and frustration. I especially empathize with those dealing with dementia; I love listening to their hearts emotionally! They just need someone to talk to. All this leads me to help the elders that feel like nobody understands them or that nobody is there for them: I feel so connected to them and that makes it easy to take care of them in cooking, cleaning, shopping (if they are willing to go out on a drive). I just want to give them a chance to feel like they are living a life all over again. Most elders have such wisdom: I like listening to them speak about all that they know regarding life. To summarize, my heart has completely fallen in love with caring for the elderly and compassionately supporting and helping those in need. All my clients become like family to me; our relationships between myself, the client, and his/her family members become very close and increasingly stronger over time! I guarantee you that your loved one will be good and taken care of with me. You won't have to worry about anything!
